- Rice Meal | 9 a.m.-1 p.m. We will be packaging the ingredients for 1,000 rice meal kits that are distributed by the Midwest Mission Distribution Center (MMDC). That's 400 more than we have ever done before! We need 16-20 people to completely fill our assembly stations. Seated tasks are available.

- Sojourn Meal | 12 p.m. We are providing a lunch for the Sojourn Shelter. Mission team is providing fried chicken; we need your help with side dishes! We will serve approximately 32 people, 15-17 women and 10-15 children.

- Mat Plarn | 6:30-8:30 p.m. We will be turning a large collection of plastic grocery bags into a plastic yarn or "plarn." The plarn is then used to crochet a 3'x6' sleeping mat that is easy to store or transport. During this session there are two main jobs. The "cutters" use a rotary cutter to slice the bags into loops that are one inch wide. The "loopers" knot the loops into long strings that become skeins of plarn. (seated activity)

- The Outlet | 5-8 p.m. We will be cleaning gutters, organizing pantry supplies, and some painting at the Outlet.

- James Project Meal Delivery | 5:30 p.m. We are providing a meal for each of the four families with foster children at the James Project. Please help by providing and delivering a meal to one of these families. Do it with your family or get a group together to help!

- St. Patrick's Catholic School | 9 a.m.-12 p.m. We will be organizing books in a room inside St. Patrick's . Also, we will be replacing weed barrier on the playground and spreading new mulch.
- APL Toys | 7-8:30 p.m. We will be making catnip knots, braided toys, and cat mats out of fleece. These activities are seated. If you have a pair of scissors, please bring them, as there will be some cutting of fabric involved. NOTE: Kits are also available for those who would like to make the toys at home.

- Handicapped Ramp (Habitat for Humanity) TWO SHIFTS 8 a.m.-12 p.m., 1-4 p.m. A leader from Habitat for Humanity will be supervising building ramps for the handicapped. Activities include measuring, cutting, nailing, etc. Closed-toe shoes are required.

- Springfield Neighbors Festival | 11 a.m.-3 p.m. All are welcome at Comer Cox Park (301 S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive) for free food, faith, music, games, a job fair and more! Co-hosted by Hope Presbyterian Church and Abundant Faith Christian Center. Volunteers needed as well as attendees!

- Wooden It Be Lovely | 1:30-5 p.m. Wooden It Be Lovely recently purchased a home. This home will provide a sanctuary for women to heal and recover. We will be painting bedrooms and building an indoor handrail that goes to the basement.

- Garage Sale Setup | 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Hope's biennial garage sale needs help with setup prior to the sale, assisting and directing shoppers, setting out merchandise, and acting as cashier on the days of the sale. This year, the proceeds will go to the Asbury Children's Supper Hour. There will be seated tasks available.
- Spring Street Veterans Renaissance 1-4 p.m. We will be continuing to work in the Spring Street Veterans Renaissance "Assistance Pantry." We will be sorting donations, folding and hanging clothes, and improving the displays and use of space. Seated tasks are available.

- Wabash Trail Cleanup | 6-7:30 p.m. We will meet at Vredenberg Park to allow you to pick your team, starting point and to get the trash bags we will provide for you to clean up Wabash trail. With your team, you will go to your starting point and walk in one direction, picking up trash on both sides of the trail. When you complete your section of the trail, or run out of trash bags, you will retrace your steps and collect your filled trash bags, taking them to dispose of in Hope's dumpster.

- Illinois Presbyterian Home | 9 a.m.-12 p.m. We will be painting, or possibly other tasks, around the Illinois Presbyterian Home building. In past years, we have painted a hallway, one of the parlors, a carport, and the lobby of the apartments building. Optional lunch provided. Paint and brushes provided.

- Jane Addams Library | 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Since the Jane Addams Elementary School library has been closed during the pandemic, we will be doing a variety of tasks. There will be seated activities as well as those that require bending and lifting.

- For Helping the Homeless, we are collecting single serving portions of food (ex: Chef Boyardee, beef stew, mac & cheese cups that only need water), ramen noodles, pop-tarts (can be generic brand), anything that can be heated in the microwave, t-shirts sizes medium to 2X (men's and women's), gift cards to Aldi's or Ruler Food to help Helping the Homeless purchase needed food items
