 Making a Joyful Noise

1 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing. 3 Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him; bless his name. 5 For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever and his faithfulness to all generations. Psalm 100

Music is a large part of the Worship service here at Hope. Woven throughout the service there are many ways in which we honor and praise God, making a joyful noise with our voices and instruments.

Our Choir

Picture
Led by our Choir Director Tom Heintzelman, the dedicated and joy filled Choir provides Worship music September through May. During the Summer (June-August) we have special volunteer music. From hymns to new contemporary music to annual cantatas this faithful group of singers lift their voices in  honor and praise to God, sharing the gifts God has given them, and stirring the hearts, mind and souls of all who hear them. Love to sing? The choir welcomes new singers at any point during the choir months.

Our Band

The Hope Presbyterian Band, led by Dave Ross contributes some contemporary and praise music to our blended services. It provides an opportunity for the people of Hope to utilize their gifts in worship. They are always ready to hear our music suggestions or to have you contribute as a member of the band.

Our Bell Choir

"God’s voice through bells can reach the hearts of believers, inspiring them to listen, reflect and respond to His divine call." The new 4-octave Handbell Choir led by Ginny Self adds to our worship services regularly.  Interested in learning? The small group of handbell players joyfully welcomes additional ringers to the group.

Our Organ & Piano

Our talented Music Director, Virginia Hoskins shares her magnificent skills on the piano and pipe organ each Sunday. We are so blessed to have such a gifted musician here at Hope. She attends a special Worship and Music retreat as part of continuing education. Along with Tom Heintzelman and our Pastor it is a time of learning, reflection, and growing. Their time away means Hope is constantly opening up to fresh new ideas for Worship and music.

Special Music

Summer music is provided by volunteers of duets, soloists and small groups of all kinds whether they be instrumentalists or vocalists or a combination of both.
