Hope Happens Here

Hope in Action July Events
 The Outlet - July 12th - 8am - 12pm

The Outlet’s mission is to help young, fatherless young men (ages 8-22) develop the ability and skill to be capable of making responsible life decisions, holding real and meaningful spiritual values, exploring their gifts, talents, and realizing their dreams and aspirations. We will be doing exterior painting and staining and possibly some interior painting also.
Rice Meal Kits for Midwest Mission - July 25th - 9am - 12:30pm
We will be measuring, weighing and packaging the ingredients for 1,000 rice meal kits that are distributed by the Midwest Mission Distribution Center (MMDC). 1,000 kits will provide 6,000 meals. Last year our 1,000 kits were part of the 180,720 Rice and Soy Blessing bags provided as part of their disaster assistance in Haiti.

Intricate Minds Meal - July 30th - 11am - 1pm
Intricate Minds is a grassroots community center working hard to fill the gap between public health service and our community. Their mission is to reduce the stigma related to mental health, HIV, drug use, and those identifying as LGBTQ. Intricate Minds services are all free to the community. Some services offered are: free haircuts every Monday; Warm Meal Wednesdays; public computer access; harm reduction supplies; period products; and Covid and HIV Testing. We will be providing a “breakfast” meal for their lunch. We will be feeding about 60 people.

Here at Hope we encourage each other on the faith journey, serving God actively and faithfully. We follow in the way of Jesus Christ and lean on God’s Holy Spirit to guide us.

We are an inclusive congregation who works toward being, welcoming as God is welcoming, inclusive as God is inclusive and loving all as God loves us all. This is what we feel God requires us to be as the “church”; a witness to those around us of God’s great love and a longing for us to know and serve God.  “Hope Happens Here” is not an empty slogan; by word and deed we strive to be the evidence of Hope in our community and beyond.  We believe it is what God intends us to be.
We hope you take a moment to explore the life of Hope here on our website. Visit us in person, tune into our Sunday service on Facebook or YouTube, or listen to our Podcast “Words of Hope”. Come, experience Hope’s growing, active, and loving community of faith.
May God be with you and bless you on your faith journey with the Peace and Love of Jesus Christ our Lord.
